Birmingham-based Headquarters of Groove had a great 2023 with several gigs at Hockley Social Club in Birmingham\, two dates at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and a gig at the O2 Institute in Birmingham. This is a band that brings the dance to the floor with acid jazz\, funk and latin favourites from Incognito\, Brand New Heavies\, Azymuth etc. along with a good supply of originals in the same groovy vein. \nThe lineup comprises André Bayliss (drums)\, Mahendra Patel (percussion)\, Ted Woodley (bass)\, Roy Linton (keys)\, Andy Thomas (guitar)\, John Sanderson (sax/flute) and Jodi Matthews (vocals). \nDoors 8PM.
